CV at a glance

I’m a young journalist curious about all things health, science and culture. My work has appeared in Smithsonian Magazine, Verywell Health and the National Association of Science Writers. During my time at Northwestern University, I served as Print Managing Editor for North by Northwestern Magazine. My staff created NBN’s first special section with a focus on environmentalism and sustainability.

A love for history storytelling has brought me to archives across the San Francisco Bay Area. My history research includes and an independent project the role of the Sierra Club in the creation of California’s Kings Canyon National Park.

In addition to my science work, I nurture a passion for food writing. I hope to continue exploring the intersection between the production and sharing of food, and personal, familial and cultural identity.

When I'm not writing, you can find me hunting for the freshest farmers' market veggies,  backpacking the Sierra Nevada and building endless Spotify playlists.
